Lyons Company Announces Partnership with National Technical Building Solutions Provider

BOWLING GREEN/GLASGOW, KY (January 4, 2022) – and Lyons Service (Lyons) announced today its partnership with Fidelity Building Services Group (Fidelity BSG).

Based in Sparks, Maryland, Fidelity BSG boasts an extensive portfolio of companies in the technical integrated services solutions space, including HVAC/Mechanical, Building Automation & Controls and Emergency Power Generators. The acquisition of Lyons is the latest move in Fidelity BSG’s strategic multi-regional growth plan and further solidifies its presence in the South.

A nearly 70-year old company with a rich history steeped in customer service, innovation, and a commitment to its Team Members, Lyons serves the Kentucky market by offering comprehensive HVAC/Mechanical solutions for industrial, institutional, and commercial needs. Its capabilities include Engineering, Complex Mechanical Installations, HVAC Service, and Building Automation, led by an extraordinary team who is committed to exceptional quality and customer service.

Lyons first opened its doors in 1954 as a plumbing and heating contractor with three Team Members and two trucks. Today it has grown to more than 100 people, serving Kentucky and states throughout the Southeast. Lyons has provided Mechanical/HVAC services for some of America’s most familiar brands, including the J.M. Smucker Company, General Mills, Kingsford Charcoal, and numerous distilleries. The organization also services medical and educational institutions such as the Medical Center at Bowling Green and Western Kentucky University.

The transaction was finalized on November 3, 2021. FMI Consulting, a middle market investment bank specializing in M&A advisory, served as financial advisor to Fidelity BSG in connection with the transaction.
