The Bardstown Bourbon Company is a self-described “Modern Distiller of the American Spirit.” Through the $25 million destination development with a Napa Valley-style campus, the Bardstown company offers an educational experience, tours and tastings, integrated visitors center, event space, and eventually a restaurant and boutique hotel.
Lyons Company, through two development phases, has designed and constructed the HVAC, plumbing, process utility, and product piping systems for the new 20,000 square foot distillery. Process expanded onsite in 2017 and 2018 to include an expansion to more than 6 million proof gallon production.
Major systems included facility-wide HVAC, including Class 1 DIV 1 Areas, as well as facility-wide domestic water and sanitary plumbing. Process utilities for steam, cooling water, chilled water, and compressed air were installed. Product piping for mash, beer, slop, spirits, and process waste were also included. Site utilities included sanitary and domestic water. Lyons Company also completed the Still Addition, the Fermenter Addition, the Visitor Center Expansion, and the Warehouse Visitor Center Addition.
